Our Approach
The fitness industry can sometimes make progress seem complicated. However, for me it's all about a few core principles. My philosophy centers around simple habits to achieve amazing results. Incorporating functional movement, proper nutrition, and spending time outdoors are key to success.
Fitness holds a different meaning for everyone, and I recognize that we all have unique goals, challenges, and abilities. That's why I offer a blueprint for my clients to follow, but I also give them flexibility in their approach. Transforming your body and developing the skills required to see results takes time. As such, I like to work with clients for at least several months to. This gives us sufficient time to reach your goal without negatively impacting other aspects of your life. However, if circumstances such as injury prevent us from training together, or if you feel that the sessions are not suitable for you, I won't send around the bailiffs and force you to continue! Just let me know with a month's notice if you'd like to stop training, and there will be no hard feelings.
Payments are made via direct debit for the following month, similar to a gym membership. If you ever wish to cancel training, just let me know and we can pause or cancel future sessions.
No, I don't offer one-off sessions. I work closely with people on a weekly basis.
The discovery call is an excellent opportunity for us to meet each other, learn what I can offer, and ask any questions. We'll go over your goals and start planning out how you might achieve them. The call is completely free and without obligation.
Yes, both in-person and online clients will receive program updates as they progress. Progressive overload is a crucial principle of exercise science. Without increasing the challenge or modifying the stimulus over time, you may hit a plateau. We offer a variety of programs for different goals and skill levels, and we will assist you in finding the right program for your particular goals and requirements.
We can measure your progress in several ways, depending on your needs and goals. For strength and endurance improvements, we use an app to track progress over time. For body composition, we may use a combination of scale weight, progress photos, and circumference measurements to evaluate body fat and muscle mass. For process measurements like energy and mood, we can use mood logs and trackers to assess trends that may influence our decision-making when implementing new habits.
I am currently based at Eccles Leisure Centre as part of Salford Community Leisure. While I have the option to train at all other centres across Salford, I primarily coach at the Eccles Leisure Centre. This is because Eccles has a wide variety of equipment and the best facilities for training. If you wish to train out of one of the other SCL gyms across the city, you can contact some of the other SCL personal trainers here.
